Yorewire is the work of a single editor with a lifelong enthusiasm for history. An avid reader and collector of history books, his interests span a wide range of periods, places and subjects.

After many years spent reading and exploring the past for his own enjoyment, Yorewire marks his first step into creating and sharing his own historical content.

How articles are made

The Yorewire editor independently researches each topic and prepares the notes and material on which every article is based. AI tools are used to assist with structuring and editing this material into a finished article, as well as checking spelling, grammar, punctuation and consistency with the cited sources. The editor reviews these suggestions, makes any necessary revisions, and gives every article a final proofread and editorial review before publication.
